Frederick J. Fisher Jr. of Falmouth, a handyman who enjoyed time spent on the water, died after a long illness on June 29 at the Windsor Skilled Nursing Home in Yarmouth. He was 60. He leaves family in Mashpee.
Mr. Fisher was born in Framingham to the late Frederick J. and Doris V. (Carcioffo) Fisher. He graduated from Framingham High School and owned Regional Roofing in Framingham in the late 1970s. A talented finish carpenter, he also was co-founder of Falmouth Kitchen Korner, Inc., where he worked as a kitchen and bath designer.
He also built or remodeled several homes on Cape Cod and in Framingham.
Mr. Fisher enjoyed working on boats. An avid fisherman, he owned and operated a fishing charter boat out of Sesuit Harbor in Dennis. He also had a special interest in model trains and airplanes.
He leaves his sons, Matthew Fisher of Mashpee and Jason Fisher of Falmouth; his former wife, Marianne Sansone of Falmouth; his sisters, Geraldine Bernard and her husband, David Bernard, of Marstons Mills, and Elizabeth Rowe and her husband, Sam Bernard, of Mashpee; and his brother, Robert Fisher and his wife, Cindy Fisher, of Nokomis, Florida. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 10, from 9:30 to 11 AM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Avenue, Mashpee.
A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home.
Burial will be private.
