Word has been received that Harry F. Campbell, 78, of Cotuit and Naples, Florida, died on December 31 following a brief illness. He leaves family in Sandwich and Falmouth.
Mr. Campbell was born in Brockton, the son of Harry F. Campbell Sr. and Ann M. (Richardson) Campbell.
After graduating from Brockton High School in 1953, he went to work for the Brockton Edison Company for 44 years before retiring in 1997.
Mr. Campbell was an avid sailor who enjoyed cruising many harbors from Cotuit to the Bahamas to the Florida coast. He was also an active board member at La Villa Riviera in Naples.
In addition to his mother, he leaves his wife, Patricia A. Campbell; four children, Toni A. Campbell, Donald F. Campbell and his wife, Rose Campbell, and Patricia A. Campbell, all of Plympton, and John L. Campbell and his wife, Teresa Campbell, of Sandwich; two sisters, Ann Siegel of Brockton and Gay Paulson of Falmouth; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father and a niece.
A memorial Mass in Cotuit will be celebrated at a later date.
