Jean T. Larkin, 92, of Falmouth died on April 14 at Royal Megansett Nursing & Retirement Home in North Falmouth.
She was born in Worcester and moved to Cherry Valley, where she was raised and attended Leicester High School. Among her teachers at Leicester High was her sister, Gertrude, an English instructor.
Ms. Larkin graduated from Assumption College in Worcester and was employed for many years at the GF Meyers Company, and at the Worcester Art Museum in the membership department.
She was known as Tante to friends and family.
She also worked as a drama critic for the Worcester Telegram and Gazette and after retiring worked as the executive assistant to the president of Falmouth Hospital.
An avid supporter of the arts, she volunteered for many years at The Cahoon Museum of American Art in Cotuit and at the Falmouth Public Library.
She leaves her nephews, Robert Timothy Miller of Austin, Texas, Michael W. Miller of Woodstock, Connecticut, and William T. Miller of Fairfield, Maine; her nieces, Geri Scott of Framingham and Jeanie T. Miller of Athol; three great-nieces; and a great-nephew.
She was predeceased by her sister, Gertrude Mary Miller.
Visiting hours are on Sunday, April 27, from 2 to 5 PM at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 511 Main Street, on Monday, April 28, at 1 PM.
Burial will be private.
