Margaret Alberta (Corthell) Asack of West Bridgewater, who leaves family in Sagamore Beach, died on April 12. She was 96.
Born, raised and educated in Whitman, she was the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Hayes) Corthell. After marrying she moved to West Bridgewater in 1946 and lived in the same home for 68 years.
Ms. Asack worked in the ticket room at Raynham-Taunton Greyhound Park for many years.
She was an avid sports fan.
Ms. Asack also enjoyed summers in South Dennis and winters in Jensen Beach, Florida.
She leaves her two children, Philip P. Asack and his wife, Deborah Asack, of Westwood, and Nancy Asack Wilson and her husband, Brian Wilson, of Sagamore Beach; her brother, Robert Corthell of Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Zack and Paul Asack of Westwood, and Gregory Wilson of Sagamore Beach; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Asack; and her siblings, Richard Corthell, Barbara Lounge and Mary Benson.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, April 15, from 5 to 8 PM at Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring Street, East Bridgewater.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 16, at 10 AM.
Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
