Margaret Eileen (Harnett) Daley of Falmouth died on May 9 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, New York. She was 82.
Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Richard and Gladys (Zindorf) Harnett.
She earned a nursing diploma from St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio State University and a master’s of education from Boston University.
Ms. Daley taught nursing at Ohio State University and at Crouse Hospital College of Nursing in Syracuse, New York, and was a former resident of Manlius, New York.
She enjoyed the beach, playing bridge, doing crossword puzzles and traveling.
She leaves her five children, Daniel Daley and his wife, Ana Daley, of Chicago, Noreen Houck and her husband, Nathan Houck, of Plattsburgh, New York, Dennis Daley and his wife, Janet Daley, of Minneapolis, Kathleen Daley of Arlington, Virginia, and Maggie Russell and her husband, Thomas Russell, of Winchester; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her brother, Robert Daley of Dayton, Ohio.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald F. Daley; and her brother, Richard Daley.
A remembrance of her life will be held on Thursday, May 15, at 10 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 41 Quaker Road, North Falmouth, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 AM.
Burial will follow at 12:30 PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
