Marion (Heaney) Basile, 95, of East Sandwich, formerly of West Roxbury, died August 29.
She was the wife of the late Colonel Anthony L. Basile.
Ms. Basile was born in Boston, the daughter of Bernard and Catherine (Sullivan) Heaney. She spent most of her life on Cape Cod, where she enjoyed going to the beach and gardening.
She leaves her children, Lawrence Basile and his partner, Clem Pepe, of Boston, Matthew Basile and his wife, Charlene Basile, of Danvers, and Joanne Harrington and her husband, Mark Harrington, of Hanover; and her grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, and John Basile of Danvers, Matthew Harrington of Boston, Leah Harrington of Dexter, and Kelly Dedeo of North Carolina.
Ms. Bastile was the sister of the late Kay Cain, Marguerite Keyes, Helen Ryerson, and Bernard and Jack Heaney.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 3, from 9 to 10 AM in Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich.
A small funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM in Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road, East Sandwich.
Burial will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
