Patricia N. (Merra) Lupica, 94, of Sandwich died on April 15 at Cape Heritage Health Care Center.
She was married for 55 years to Peter G. Lupica, who died in 2003.
Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of Sabino Merra and Anna (D’Allessandro) Merra.
She graduated from Brockton High School in 1937 with honors. After graduation she was employed at George Knight & Company as a secretary until her marriage to Mr. Lupica in 1947.
She moved to Sandwich 24 years ago.
Ms. Lupica enjoyed social gatherings, cooking and baking. Her specialty was Italian iced cookies with sprinkles.
She leaves four children, Louise Watson and her husband, Craig Watson, and Patricia Sheehan and her husband, Barry Sheehan, of Sandwich, Jean Lupica of Easton, and Joseph Lupica and his wife, Anne Lupica, of Brockton; five grandchildren, Jennifer Souza of Natick, Rory Sheehan of Alexandria, Virginia, Gina Sheehan of Sandwich, and Jacqueline and Christina Lupica of Brockton; several nieces and nephews; and a brother, Sam Merra of Sudbury.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank Merra.
Visitation is Wednesday, April 23, from 3 to 7 PM at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich.
A funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, April 24, at 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi Church, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road, Sandwich.
Burial will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
