Pearl R. (Kayajanian) DeMello, 82, of East Falmouth died on August 28 in the Royal of Cotuit Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mashpee.
She was the wife of Lawrence DeMello for 45 years.
The daughter of John and Helen (Terzian) Kayajanian, Ms. DeMello was born in Boston.
She worked as a switchboard operator for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution until her retirement.
In addition to her husband, Ms. DeMello leaves her sister, Lucy Kayajanian; her brothers, Harry Kayajanian and John Kayajanian; her stepchildren, Patricia DeMello, Michael DeMello and his wife, Cynthia DeMello, and Timothy DeMello and his wife, Mary Ellen DeMello; her nieces, Kimberly Santos and Leah Kayajanian; and her nephew, Nishan Kayajanian.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 2, from 4 to 7 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 3, at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway.
Burial will be private.
