Robert J. Jordan, a longtime resident of Falmouth, died on March 18 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston after a short illness. He was 74.
Mr. Jordan was born and raised in Rhode Island. He moved to Manhattan in the early 1960s and worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
He later moved to Cape Cod, where he was the owner and manager of Pickwick’s restaurant in Mashpee. The eatery was sold in 1989.
Mr. Jordan was a longtime member of an organization that helps people fight drug and alcohol addiction. He was especially diligent in helping young people who battle substance abuse.
He leaves a sister, Muriel Jordan of Massachusetts.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
