Salvatore G. Ciampa of East Falmouth died on April 23 at his home. He was 72.
He was married to Gail F. (Martine) Ciampa for 28 years.
Born in East Boston, he was the son of Samuel and Frances (Golisano) Ciampa.
He was a firefighter for the Revere Fire Department for 34 years.
Mr. Ciampa was also a machinist; he owned and operated Park Products in Revere for 20 years. Later he worked for Deep Sea and Oceaneering International of Cataumet.
He wintered in Marco Island, Florida.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two children, Martine McDermott of Falmouth, and Edward Ciampa and his wife, Catarina Hegner, of Illinois; three brothers, Joseph Ciampa and his wife, Patricia Ciampa, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, and John Ciampa and Thomas Ciampa, both of Boston; two sisters, Grace Power and Linda Fisher of Boston; and three grandchildren, Maya Dinsmore, and Maggie and Donovan Hegner.
He was predeceased by two sons, Mark Ciampa and Salvatore G. Ciampa Jr.
Visiting hours will be on Monday, April 28, from 3 to 7 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 29, at 11 AM in St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway, followed by burial in Anthony’s Cemetery.
