Virginia Simmons Campbell, 63, of Sandwich died on June 8 at Cape Cod Hospital.
Born in Norwood, Ms. Campbell was the daughter of the late Douglas Clifford and Etta Marie (Bishop) Brown.
She worked at the Pilgrim nuclear power plant for 26 years. Later, she worked at the Lilly Pad in Mashpee Commons and at Gosnold Treatment Center in Falmouth as a recovery aide.
Ms. Campbell was an avid beachgoer, and she especially enjoyed East Sandwich Beach. When there was cold weather on Cape Cod, she would travel to warm destinations to enjoy the sun.
She also enjoyed singing, dancing, music and reading.
Ms.Campbell leaves her daughter, Jillian Simmons Capone and her husband, Justin Capone, of Centerville; her son, Jonathan A. Campbell of Sandwich; her sister, Carolyn Navachinsky of Centerville; her grandson, Mason A. Campbell; and two nieces.
Private services will be held at a later date.
