Wallace C. Rucki Jr., 83, of Mashpee died at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on April 28.
He was the husband of Arlene (Pepicelli) Rucki and the son of Sophie and Wallace C. Rucki.
Mr. Rucki graduated from high school in Buffalo, New York, and served in the US Navy during the Korean War.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Northeastern University.
Mr. Rucki worked for Honeywell and then Northrop Corporation in Norwood for 30 years until his retirement.
He was an avid woodworker who also enjoyed golf, bocce and Tom Clancy novels.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, he leaves his three children, Gregory Rucki and his wife, Joanne Rucki, of Franklin, Lawrence Rucki and his wife, Sally Rucki, of Winchester, and Lynne Hultin and her husband, Arthur Hultin, of Truro; his sister, Natalie Economou; six grandchildren; and three nieces.
Visitation will be at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Avenue (Route 151), Mashpee, on Thursday, May 1, from 4 to 8 PM.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 PM on Friday, May 2, at Parish of Christ the King, 3 Job’s Fishing Road, Mashpee, followed by burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
