Common Courtesy And Fences - Letter

I am acquainted with a frustrated family that had the “bad” side of a lengthy stockade fence thrust upon them (and upon anyone else traveling down their road) when a condominium went up directly across the street from their longtime home. The family has been told by town hall that the developer was not obligated to build the fence right-side out and he or she apparently has no intention of reversing the fence, which would seem to be an easy fix, especially for a builder.

I have also noticed two or three other recently erected stockade fences that are “inside out.”

One of the nicer benefits of living and raising a family in Falmouth has been the consideration and respect the town’s residents and businesses regularly extend to one another. I hope the incidents mentioned above don’t foreshadow the end of that practice.
