Is waiting to see if alternatives will work before spending millions on a sewer and laying pipes all across town wishful thinking, or is it common sense? I find it interesting that trying to show how much we will be paying for a sewer is called a scare tactic, especially when it is followed by the statement that we can be sued if we don’t sewer!
Since we will be actively pursuing alternatives according to our wastewater plan on file with the state, and in compliance with state and federal requirements, and the two other Cape towns, Orleans and Yarmouth, have not been sued in the two and a half years since voting down sewers and choosing to explore alternatives, I wonder exactly who is using scare tactics here.
