A ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially reopen the bubbler in front of Sandwich Town Hall has been scheduled for 3 PM Wednesday, May 7.
The bubbler, where free spring water is available to the public, has been shut down since last October to accommodate a reconstruction project.
The project improved handicap access to the bubbler and also addressed structural problems along Mill Creek in the channel next to the bubbler.
Students from Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School built a wooden bridge that was placed over the channel as part of the project.
The $336,000 project was slated for completion in December, but ran into delays due principally to the long, harsh winter.
