The state has given the town a green light to open the shellfishing beds in Old Harbor for the season.
The first day permit-holders can rake in their catch is Sunday at low tide.
The state had been awaiting results of one last water quality test before allowing the beds to be opened.
Those results, which showed the creek waters were clean, came in this morning.
Low tide Sunday is at 9:27 AM.
Residential shellfish permits are available at the Tax Collector Office inside the Town Hall Annex for $25.
