Patriots’ owner and Mashpee resident Bob Kraft knows a thing or two about winning championships. During his tenure at the top of the masthead with the local National Football League team, Kraft’s teams have won three Super Bowl titles and have played in the big game a total of six times.

On Tuesday afternoon, he received his fourth Super Bowl ring.

While Kraft’s Patriots were practicing with the visiting New Orleans Saints, representatives of the Mashpee High School 2011 Division IV Super Bowl championship-winning team presented Kraft with a championship ring. The obviously pleased Patriots’ owner, who along with his late wife Myra has been a big supporter of the local community, “was tickled pink” to have another ring to add to his collection.

“It was just a perfect way to end our perfect season,” said MHS Assistant Coach Mike Mullen who helped coordinate the event. “He said it was very kind of us to think of him...the Krafts have been pretty nice to the Mashpee community over the years, and we just wanted to thank him for all that they’ve done.”

Mashpee High School was represented by its outgoing captains, Jordan Keli’inui, Zak Orcutt and Graham Kilpatrick, along with its coaching staff, Head Coach Matt Triveri and Assistant Coaches Mullen, Chris Ball, Mark Doucette and Chris Rendigs. Mullen said that the Patriots gave the Falcons the VIP treatment while in Foxboro.

After presenting Kraft with his ring, the group posed for a photograph. Rock star Jon Bon Jovi, who is friends with Kraft and Patriot Head Coach Bill Belichick, was on hand for practice and also joined in for the photo. Unfortunately, Coach Triveri, who is now the new athletic director at MHS, had business back on the Cape and was unable to stay around for picture time.

The Mashpee Falcons open up preseason camp on August 20 in preparation for their September 7 season opener with Austin Prep.
