Greg Zaw won all three of his matches in the 120-pound class, two by pin, and Matt Landry was a three-time winner at 126 pounds, with two matches by decision and a pin.

Jake Sullivan had one match at 160 pounds, winning by pin.

Kevin Wright finished the day 2-1 at 132 pounds with both of his wins coming by pin. Matt Petersen also picked up a couple of victories, finishing 2-1.

Spencer Cleary was 1-1 with his win by pin at 195 pounds. Mike DeCoste was 1-2. Patrick Sullivan and Alex Vrountas were both 1-2, each collecting their win by pin, and Shahroz Ahmed ended the day 1-2.

Alex Denmark wrestled one match at 120 pounds, winning by pin.

“I was extremely happy with the way the guys performed,” Coach Jerome Fay said. “Some of them have been in the program for four years and they wanted to win and the young kids are breathing new life into the program.”
The Knights are on the mat again Saturday at Taunton.
