Bourne Winter Athletes Honored

 Bourne High School announced its winter sports award winners last week. In boys’ basketball senior Cody Sloniecki received South Coast Conference all-star recognition as well as being named the team MVP. Jimmy Halliday and John Page received SCC all-star honorable mention, with Page also receiving the Glove Award for defense. Halliday was named most improved and Jack Canterbury took home both the SCC and team sportsmanship awards.

In girls’ basketball Alison O’Kane and Brianna Girouard were both named SCC all-star honorable mention. Lindsay Rice took home both the SCC and team sportsmanship awards. O’Kane received the team MVP and Mackenzie Hyldburg and Allie Stone were both named most improved.

In boys’ hockey Matt Crowley, Will Humfryes, Beau LaFlamme and Devin Welch received SCC all-star recognition. Joe English and Jeff Small were named SCC all-star honorable mention. Welch took home both the SCC and the team sportsmanship awards and was named the team MVP. English was named most improved.

Luke Roy and Tyler White received SCC all-star honorable mention in boys’ indoor track and field. White shared the most improved honors with Hunter Silva while Roy was named the team MVP. Peter Balkam took home the SCC sportsmanship award.

Emily Roy and Kaleigh Perry received SCC all-star honorable mention on the girls’ indoor team. Roy was also named the team MVP. Caitlyn Mueller and Morgan Flannery shared most improved and Kristyn Trant received the SCC sportsmanship award.
