Steve Galanis Will Represent Blue Knights In Golf's State Tournament

Steve Galanis shot a round of 75 Tuesday at the Easton Country Club in the MIAA Division 2 Cape Cod sectional tournament. Galanis finished tied for second place and will advance to the Division 2 state tournament to be held Monday at the Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton.

As a team the Knights finished tied for fifth place with Dennis-Yarmouth with a score of 327. Nauset and Hingham each topped the list with scores of 312.


Mithran Denbow finished with a round of 79, Connor Mangleson had an 85 and Jake Cuppels came in at 88. Jon Cassista and Chris Wilson each finished with rounds of 89.

The Knights send three players to the Cape and Islands High School Individual Championship on Friday at Bayberry Hills Golf Course in Yarmouth.

Connor Mangleson led Sandwich with a round of 78 over the par 72 course. Steve Galanis shot an 81 and Jake Cuppels finished at 84. The Knights finished fourth in a field of 15.
