CCMNH Amazing Animals

Cali, the triton cockatoo is one of the animals in the Amazing Animal Ambassadors show which will be at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History on July 21.

The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster will present Amazing Animal Ambassadors with Cape Cod captive wildlife care expert Bethany Jakubson on Wednesday, July 21, at 9:30 AM.

The mission of Amazing Animal Ambassadors is to expose children to wild animals up-close and hopefully spark a lifelong love of animals. Children and caregivers will join Ms. Jakubson and some of her favorite members of the natural world, including Jasper the red-tailed hawk, Cali the cockatoo, Simon the blue-tongued skink; Milo the fennec fox and Flower the striped skunk.

Also on display will be an amazing assortment of smaller reptiles and insects.

Ms. Jakubson is owner of Amazing Animal Ambassadors and grew up on Cape Cod. Six years ago, she started her company using some of the animals she herself had rescued over the years, and since then has been expanding the business to include a wide variety of reptiles, birds, mammals, amphibians and insects.

Tickets to Amazing Animal Ambassadors are $15 per person; ticket price does not include admission to museum. Tickets are sold online only through the museum’s website.
