FAC Opening Terry

“Yellow Kayaks” by Susan Sigel is part of the new exhibit, “Terry Presents: Students of Terry Dunn,” on view for the month of June at the Falmouth Art Center. The opening reception for this and two other new exhibits is from 5 to 7 tonight.

Local scenery and poetic inspiration will be on full display this month in the new art shows at the Falmouth Art Center.

The public is invited to attend the opening reception tonight from 5 to 7 PM for three new art shows: “Artistic Inspirations,” “Terry Presents: Students of Terry Dunn,” and “Monday Morning Painters.”

In “Artistic Inspirations,” a show in the Hermann Gallery, local artists have found inspiration in a wide range of areas, from poetry to local scenery to national news topics, such as immigration.

The Falmouth Art Center’s Landrau-Partan Gallery is featuring work by the Monday Morning Painters. These are Falmouth Art Center members who gather weekly to paint outside in various locations throughout the community.

Upstairs in the Sigel Gallery, the show “Terry Presents: Students of Terry Dunn” features work by Susan Sigel of Mashpee, Harriet Stone of Mashpee, Valerie Belcher of Falmouth and Susan O’Brien of West Falmouth, all established artists on their own, as well as students of well-known local artist Terry Dunn of Mashpee.

The Falmouth Art Center is at 137 Gifford Street.
