The Falmouth Art Market will feature music by Jerry Doherty on Thursday, July 11, from 2 to 4 PM and a bounty of paintings, photographs, jewelry, pottery, fiber items, and more by 25 different artists and craftspeople. The artisans market takes place every Thursday through August 29 from noon to 5 PM at Bigelow Marine Park.
Jerry Doherty is songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who plays an amalgamation of roots music, folk music, blues, old-school jazz, and country music. He aims to create a feel-good atmosphere.
Mr. Doherty has opened for such acts as the Beach Boys, Charlie Daniels, Alan Jackson, Allison Krauss, Sawyer Brown, and many others. He has recorded four CDs with his various bands; his 1997 CD, “Backed in a Corner,” was selected as Album of the Year by the Independent Country Music Association of America. He was invited to perform at the Bluebird Café in Nashville, for songwriters only.
