The Sturgis Library continues its online adult storytime reading series with author Tyrese Coleman on Tuesday, August 25, at 7 PM.

Ms. Coleman will read one of her own stories, then offer a question-and-answer period afterward.

A writer, wife, mother and attorney, Ms. Coleman’s debut collection of stories and essays, “How to Sit,” was published by Mason Jar Press in 2018 and nominated for a 2019 PEN Open Book Award. Her work has appeared as a notable in Best American Essays 2018 and 2016 and nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Ms. Coleman often writes about issues relating to motherhood, family and pregnancy. Her essays have appeared in Buzzfeed and Brain, Child magazine. She is an occasional contributor to Rewire News. Her work has also appeared in Black Warrior Review, The Kenyon Review, Literary Hub, Washingtonian Magazine and The Rumpus.
