Barry Beder of Falmouth will give a Zoom presentation about his work on Sunday, April 11, from 2 to 3 PM. The presentation is being sponsored by the Cape Cod Maritime Museum in Hyannis.
Mr. Beder’s boat hull photography has been on exhibit at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum for the past nine months.
A photographer from Falmouth, Mr. Beder’s subject matter is unique views of boat hulls both in and out of the water, views he calls HullScapes.
Mr. Beder will discuss his photographs and artistic process as part of the talk, which is titled, “Wild, Unclaimed Beauty.” Mr. Beder’s photography has been exhibited at many local venues, including the Falmouth Art Center, Cotuit Center for the Arts, Cultural Center of Cape Cod and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
The talk is part of a series of Sunday afternoon lectures being offered by the museum. The series is free. but registration is required. Sign up online through the Maritime Museum’s website.
Hours at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum are noon to 3 PM, Wednesday through Friday. To allow for proper social distancing, limited tickets will be available. Visits are limited to one hour. Walk-ins to the museum are welcome if space allows. Reservations are recommended.
