An opening reception for two shows at the Cahoon Museum of American Art will take place Friday, November 8, from 4:30 to 6 PM.

The shows are “Soo Sunny Park: Boundary Conditions” and “Gretchen Romey-Tanzer: Inspirations.” Both artists will be at the reception to speak with the public about their art. The reception is free and open to all.

Korean American artist Sunny Park has created the museum’s first monumental, immersive installation that transforms the gallery into a realm of moving light, iridescent reflection, and shadow. Master weaver Gretchen Romey-Tanzer presents a series of works that sparkle with prismatic ebullience.

Ms. Romey-Tanzer will also give a weaving demonstration at the museum on Friday, November 15. Free with museum admission, the public can watch Ms. Romey-Tanzer at work between 1 and 3 PM.
