During the winter, a dark time of year, the Falmouth Art Center’s next show will celebrate light. The show, “Let There Be Light,” running in person at the center from Friday, January 8, to Monday, February 1, is open to all.

There will be two days when artists can submit their work to the show: Tuesday, January 5, and Wednesday, January 6, from 9 AM to 4 PM. Receiving will be set up on the rear porch of the center, weather-permitting, for contact-less drop off.

Work can be any medium but must adhere to the theme: Let There Be Light. This show is for pieces that celebrate light, incorporate light or use light as a contrast to darkness. The artist can also use their own interpretation of the theme.

The cost to submit to the show is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers. If the piece sells, members receive 70 percent commission on the sale and nonmembers receive 50 percent.

The Falmouth Art Center located at 137 Gifford Street in Falmouth is free and open to the public daily. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM; Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM and Sunday 1 to 4 PM. The Art Center will be closed December 25 to January 1.
