Most dictionaries define family as that including parents and children and blood relations. But for many, family can include friends, coworkers, classmates, LGBTQIA+ housemates, and kindred spirits of all sizes, shapes and colors. Even Buddha has a definition: “A family is a place where minds come in contact with one another.”
