There are several upcoming opportunities for ballroom and swing dance enthusiasts.

The First Saturday Dance on December 7 will be from 7 to 10 PM at the Cape Conservatory in Falmouth and will be led by Ellen Brodsky. Ms. Brodsky will review basic dances and offer some instruction during the first hour, followed by dance music of all styles.

Admission is $10. Light, homemade refreshments will be available. Beginners and singles are welcome.

On Friday, December 13, there will be a holiday swing lesson and party from 7 to 8:30 PM at the Cotuit Center for the Arts. Lessons will be offered from 7 to 8. Light homemade refreshments will be available. Drinks will be available for purchase in the art gallery. Call 508-428-0669 to sign up. Admission is $15.

On Sunday, December 15, at the Cape Conservatory in Falmouth, Ron Gursky will offer a West Coast Swing workshop followed by a dance party from 6:30 to 9 PM. From 6:30 to 7:30 techniques and steps will be taught; from 7:30 to 8 there will be music for dancing, heavy on the West Coast, and from 8 to 9 PM continuous music, including waltz, foxtrot, tango, rumba, cha cha and swing. Requests will be taken.

Light homemade refreshments will be offered. Admission for the evening is $15; for the dance party from 7:30 to 9 PM, admission is $5.
