The Eventide Theatre Company will present the Jason Robert Brown musical “The Last Five Years” from September 9 through 26 on the Gertrude Lawrence Stage at Dennis Union Church.

The production features Beau Jackett and Rebecca Riley in this tale of two New Yorkers who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show. Steve Ross will direct the show with Kevin Quill providing musical direction.

This show marks Eventide’s return to the main stage in Dennis after a season of virtual offerings.

All attendees to the show must present proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 by presenting their physical vaccination card or a legible photocopy, or by going to the Eventide website and uploading it ahead of time.

Shows are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Tickets are available through the company’s website.
