The Falmouth Chorale Chamber Singers will perform “The Spring All Clad in Gladness: A Celebration of the Music of Thomas Morley” on Sunday, May 21, at 3 PM at the West Falmouth Library. The concert, directed by Andrew Jonathan Welch, will include a variety of songs about the joys of spring and the vagaries of love. Songs include traditional pieces from the Renaissance as well as modern pieces, including “April Come She Will” by Paul Simon.
The Falmouth Chorale Chamber Singers, an arm of the Falmouth Chorale, is an auditioned vocal ensemble founded in 2008. The group has presented concerts throughout the Cape. In recent years the chamber singers have performed at the Bigelow Marine Park bandshell, Highfield Hall, in collaborations with the Falmouth Chamber Players Orchestra and in leading “The Star-Spangled Banner” at events ranging from the annual Veterans Day breakfast to Falmouth Commodores’ baseball games. In 2016 the chamber singers performed the Cape debut of Robert Cohen’s “Alzheimer’s Stories” at free concerts in four venues across Cape Cod.
