The Falmouth Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation has reached a 10-year milestone. Since 2009 the fund has granted more than a half-million dollars to more than 70 local nonprofit organizations serving the Falmouth community. As it enters its 11th year of grant making, it will award up to $100,000 to nonprofits for projects and programs across a range of focus areas, including education, health and human services, arts and culture, and the environment.

There are two funding categories for nonprofit organizations submitting applications this year.

Strategic Focus Grants address strategic initiatives and long-range organizational capacity-building. The first step in the Strategic Focus Grant process is to submit a letter of inquiry to The Cape Cod Foundation by October 15. The advisory committee will notify applicants who have been selected for further consideration by November 15.

General Grants address emerging opportunities, launch creative initiatives, or cover costs of small, one-time projects for the organization. The application deadline is December 15.

Information and applications are available at capecodfoundation.org. Questions concerning the grant application process can be addressed to Carrie Bearse at 508-790-3040 or cbearse@capecodfoundation.org.
