Creative Hands Gallery will present the Fiber Art of Christine Anderson; Carol Flax; Lisa Horton; and Toni Newhall, in a group invitational exhibit, “Fiber Fusion” which opens Sunday, June 9 and runs through June 28.

The show will emphasize the variety of work that is being created in the genre of fiber.

An opening reception for the show will take place Sunday0 from 2 to 4 PM.

Yarmouth artist Carol Flax creates realistic-looking landscapes collages from cut magazine fragments.

Drawn to nature, layering, texture and depth, Ms. Newhall creates fiber and mixed-media pieces that radiate dream-like qualities.

Christine Anderson’s work is based on the fusion of threads, fabric, scanned, images, paper, and beads—all used in unconventional ways, often referencing the natural world.

In addition to fiber, Lisa Horton often uses twigs, shells, dried flowers, and other organic material in her works, which are primarily collage and 3D assemblages.

The gallery is located at 812 Main Street, Unit 2, in Osterville.
