“The Way Home” is a documentary that profiles local families who have adopted animals from the Animal Rescue League.

The Cotuit Center for the Arts will present a special screening of “The Way Home: A Century of Finding Loving Companions for Shelter Animals” on Tuesday, November 30, at 7 PM. Following the movie there will be a musical performance given by Lisa Jason, a multifaceted singer/songwriter from New York with Cape roots. Ms. Jason will be performing with pianist Fred Boyle, drummer Michael Dunford and bassist Rich Hill.

The documentary celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s commitment to Cape Cod.

A celebration of the human-animal bond, the documentary showcases stories of animals and the families who adopted them from the Animal Rescue League. From dogs and cats to donkeys and geese, Cape residents share the impact of their companions on their lives and their deep connections to the Animal Rescue League.

Kim Roderiques directed the documentary; the cinematographer is Geoffrey Basset.

Tickets are $25 and will benefit both the Animal Rescue League and the Cotuit Center for the Arts.

Proof of vaccination or negative COVID test results are required to attend.
