A screening of the critically acclaimed documentary “Danseur” will take place Sunday, September 15, at 4 PM at Falmouth Academy’s Simon Center.

The film shares the struggles of men in pursuit of their dreams of becoming ballet dancers and asks the question why is it more socially acceptable for parents, and fathers in particular, to encourage their sons to participate in all other physical pursuits, but not ballet.

Turning Pointe Dance Studio is partnering with Falmouth Academy to host the screening.

After the screening there will be a question-and-answer period with producer and director of the film, Scott Gormley, as well as cast member and Boston Ballet principal dancer John Lam.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by visiting www.turningpointedancestudio.org.
