The Greater Falmouth Community Chorus welcomes past, present, and new singers for the upcoming spring season with rehearsals starting Wednesday, March 18, at the First Congregational Church of Falmouth. The program is entitled “Songs of America – Beauty and Unity.”

“Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor…” is the inscription on the Statue of Liberty and one of the many inspiring patriotic selections included in this concert series.

“Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “The Navy Hymn” are two powerful songs that always give me goosebumps when performed,” said Marcy Lerner, a singer for over 25 years with the chorus. Additional music includes selections from John Rutter, a favorite composer of the chorus’s conductor and artistic director, John Dulina.

The Greater Falmouth Community Chorus is a non–audition chorus that has been providing music in Falmouth for 30 years.

Rehearsals on Wednesday, March 18, run from 7 to 9 PM, with registration and music distribution at 6:30 PM. Concerts will be Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 7. Additional information about the chorus can be found on their website. Specific questions can be directed to info@falmouthcommunitychorus.org or 508-564-0054.

First Congregational Church is at 68 Main Street in Falmouth.
