Highfield Hall & Gardens will host a writing workshop dedicated to genealogy and ancestry titled "Genealogy and Narrative: Writing the Story of Your Ancestors." The workshop is planned for Monday through Thursday, July 27 through July 30, from 10 AM to noon. Bring generations of your family to life in this four-day course, and learn how to use genealogy to craft a compelling narrative and share the story of your ancestors.

Author Kathleen Brunelle will lead both experienced and novice writers who have an interest in family history and in methods of inquiry to inform and guide their storytelling. Participants will learn how to use genealogy to craft a compelling narrative and share the story of their ancestors. Born and raised on Cape Cod, Ms. Brunelle is an English teacher and writer who has published two books on aspects of Cape Cod history: "Bellamy's Bride: The Search for Maria Hallet of Cape Cod" and "Cape Cod's Highfield and Tanglewood: A Tale of Two Cottages." Her work has been featured on the radio programs The Point and Spooky South Coast, as well as in Cape Cod View Magazine, Falmouth Magazine, The Hechinger Report and Education Dive. She was also featured on "Genealogy Roadshow: Season 3" and "Mummies Unwrapped: Season 1" on the Discovery Channel.

The cost for the workshop is $200 for members and $250 for nonmembers. Register at www.highfieldhallandgardens.org.
