The Plymouth Public Library Chess Club will host a nonrated, no-entry-fee chess tournament Saturday, November 16, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the library.

The tournament will be four rounds, with an opportunity to play against four separate opponents. US Chess Federation membership is not required to play. All experience levels and ages are welcome. Beginners needing a few pointers or lessons are welcome to attend one of the library’s Tuesday night chess club sessions.

The format will be game 20. Each person has 20 minutes on the clock, meaning a maximum of 40 minutes for each round. There will be two sections, beginner and intermediate-advanced. There will be awards for top places in each section, as well as awards for top youth performances. Register for the tournament at by Sunday, November 10.
