The Falmouth Art Center is offering a range of classes for all levels—from beginner to advanced—for the next session, which begins the week of September 16.

Art and weaving classes are six weeks long; most clay classes last 10 weeks. Art classes include oil painting, drawing, pastels, watercolors and collage.

Among the offerings for beginners are Oil Painting for Beginners with Bill Noble on Tuesday evenings, which starts with a class covering types of materials needed for oil paintingm, and Drawing for the Fun of It with Susan Jensen, a beginning drawing class on Monday mornings.

Class costs range from about $150 to $165 for Falmouth Art Center members, to $190 to $200 for nonmembers.

Beginning pottery classes include Clay 101 with Hollis Engley on Thursday afternoons and The Wheel 101 with Corrinn Jusell on Saturday mornings. Clay classes cost $375 for Falmouth Art Center members and $425 for nonmembers.

Portraits in Sculpture with Bob Ryder on Thursday mornings is also a class for beginners.

Awaken Your Creative Self on Tuesday afternoons is an exploratory art class for all levels, including beginners.

For more advanced art students, there is a range of classes in art, fiber and pottery with morning, afternoon and evening times.
