The Sturgis Library will screen the documentary film, “The Lost Forests of New England,” from filmmaker Ray Asselin Tuesday, January 14, at 6 PM.

The film covers the story of New England’s ancient old growth forests: What they once were, what changes have taken place since settlers arrived, and what our remnant old growth stands look like today.

The screening is free and open to the public. Registration is appreciated via e-mail at sturgisreference@comcast.net, or by calling 508-362-6636, or fill out the form at the library’s website.

The Sturgis Library is at 3090 Main Street in Barnstable.
