Due to the state reopening guidelines and concern for health and safety, the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra has canceled the August 21 and September 12 and 13 concerts at the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center and the August 28 concert at Kilburn Mill Event Center.
Anyone holding tickets for the 2019-2020 season concerts originally scheduled for March 14, April 18, April 19, May 23 or August 21, or Symphony on Tap for August 28, can contact the symphony by July 31 to indicate whether you would like to donate the ticket price as a tax-deductible contribution to the orchestra, exchange the tickets for a future concert or request a refund by emailing email@example.com or calling 508-999-6276, extension 222, and leaving a message.
Associates are working remotely but checking voicemail daily. Ticket holders must inform the orchestra by July 31 of their intentions, as the ticketing software will automatically convert the ticket price to a tax-deductible donation to the orchestra after that date.
The orchestra is continuing with its plans for the 2020-2021 season with the understanding that changes to the schedule will likely be necessary. Because of the special circumstances being faced by all the orchestra has decided to institute a one-year grace period for 2019-20 season subscribers to save their seats. That means that current subscribers will not lose their seat assignments if they decide not to subscribe to the 2020-21 season.
