Cotuit Center for the Arts and Mark Cortale will present Well-Strung, the singing string quartet, Monday, August 12, at 7:30 PM.

Returning for its third performance at the Center, Well-Strung is a highly acclaimed string quartet with a modern twist The band features Edmund Bagnell on first violin, Christopher Marchant on second violin, Daniel Shevlin on cello and Trevor Wadleigh on viola. Well-Strung mixes Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and Vivaldi with pop hits by such stars as Adele, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears and others.

Christopher Marchant and producer Mark Cortale founded the group in 2012 in Provincetown. 

The quartet has performed throughout the United States and has gained international attention, performing at the Vatican and at a gala for President Barack H. Obama.

It also performed with artists including Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Audra McDonald and Deborah Voigt, and it was the opening act for Joe Jonas and his band, DNCE, at Pride Toronto. Tickets are $55, $50 for balcony seating. There is a $5 discount for members. Tickets may be reserved through the CCftA website or by calling 508-428-0669.
