Meetinghouse Clay New Classes

Adult students Lisa Judelson, Sally Fine, Tina Newcombe, Genevieve Griffith and Kim Karwowski do ceramic work at the Meetinghouse Clay Center in Cataumet.

Beginning the week of March 22, the Meetinghouse Clay Center in Cataumet will offer its spring classes for adult students of all levels of experience, as well as age-specific after-school classes for children. Instruction will cover a range of wheel and hand-building techniques as well as an emphasis on contemporary design and surface decoration.

All classes are limited to six students and include access to generous open studio hours, which can be reserved through the website. All classes will take place at the Meetinghouse Clay Center at 1340 County Road in Cataumet. The center adheres to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Commonwealth of Massachusetts COVID-19 protocols for social distancing and face coverings, and has hand-washing and sanitizing stations.

Early-bird discounts are available for adult sessions through February 28. Each children’s class will have a need-based seat available to ease the economic stress created by the pandemic. Registration information is on the center’s website. Questions can be directed to Sarah Caruso at or by calling 978-399-8869.
