The Wellfleet Preservation Hall is seeking submissions for its first-ever Youth Film Festival. Online submissions will be accepted through Thursday, April 30, for films from filmmakers ages 8 to 18. Group submission will also be accepted.

The film must be under 5 minutes in length. All genres: comedy, drama, sci-fi, animation, documentary or music video will be accepted. Submission should follow G or PG rating standard. Only one film per submitter will be considered.

Filmmakers will be divided into three ages groups: ages 8 to 11, ages 12 to 14 and ages 15 to 18.

All submission must be accompanied by the filmmaker application, available on the hall’s website. Accepted submissions will require authorization (parent or guardian if under 18) for participation in the festival and in public screenings of the work.

The screening committee will be looking for aptitude in the areas of: writing/script, editing, cinematography/camera work, creativity/originality.

The Festival is open to young filmmakers across Cape Cod and beyond.
