Tim Radford, Ron Geering, and Barbara Blair perform as members of Queen Victoria’s Secret at the December meeting of Woods Hole Woman’s Club

The group Queen Victoria’s Secret highlighted the December meeting of the Woods Hole Woman’s Club with a performance of whimsical British and American country music.

Musicians Ron Geering, Barbara Blair, Wendell Bishop and Tim Radford performed in period costumes on period instruments including fiddle, whistles, recorders, serpent, concertina and percussion.

In January, the program will feature theatrical performances by several of the club’s members. The public is invited to join them at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 14, at the Church of the Messiah Parish and Community Center, 16 Church Street in Woods Hole.

Readings and a five-woman theatrical performance will focus on Women’s Suffrage, noting that 2020 is the centennial celebration of the passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution, which granted American women the right to vote. Light refreshments will be served and those attending may bring a brown bag lunch if they wish.

New members are welcomed at any time during the year. Information about membership is available from Carol Casey at 508-299-8330.
