The Lassalle Dance Series will feature be Ronald K. Brown at the Woods Hole Public Library on Tuesday, August 13, at 7:30 PM.

Mr. Brown is artist-in-residence at The Yard on Martha’s Vineyard and is founder, choreographer, and artistic director of the dance company Evidence, based in Brooklyn, New York. His company focuses on the fusion of traditional African dance with contemporary choreography and the spoken word. Since its founding in 1985, the company and Mr. Brown have received numerous accolades. Evidence now tours to some 30 communities in the United States annually and has traveled overseas to Cuba, Brazil, England, France, Greece, Hungary, Mexico, and Senegal. Brown has taught in the US and abroad at numerous universities including: Virginia Commonwealth University, CT College, Ohio State University, and New York University.
