The Sandwich-Bourne Lions Club is holding its annual coat drive through December 31.

Residents are asked to donate gently used coats for children and adults. All sizes are needed.

Sandwich residents can drop items off at the Sandwich Council on Aging on Quaker Meeting House Road; Stop & Shop stores on Quaker Meeting House Road and Route 6A, and the Eastern Bank on Route 6A.

Bourne residents can drop clothing off at the Rockland Trust Bank, 172 Clay Pond Road off Route 28; the Bourne Community Center; or the Jonathon Bourne Library.

Anton Cleaners will clean the donated items and send them to community agencies to distribute them to those in need. The Lions urge everyone to clean out their closets and donate to a worthy cause so no one in need is left in the cold.

Items not accepted are coats with rips, tears, broken zippers or permanent stains, sweatshirts, vests, spring/rain coats or snow pants.

Any Cape organization that has people in need of warm coats may get information about the Anton Cleaners distribution form from the Anton’s Cleaners website at
