The Cape Women’s Coalition will present “Who ME? Yes, YOU Can Run for Office!” via Zoom on Tuesday, September 21, from 9 to 10:30 AM.

The session will provide information from women who are knowledgeable about managing successful campaigns and running for office, including the necessary logistics.

Presenters will include Elana Doyle, board member, She Votes and Cape Women’s Coalition; Mary LeClair, former county commissioner, Barnstable County; Ann Quirk, Barnstable town clerk; and Dawne Shand, president, Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus, and will be moderated by Debra Dagwan, a Barnstable town councilor.

Goals for the session include ideas on how to gain experience and name recognition as a route to consider running for office; showing a pathway for a successful run and resources to make it a reality; and understanding the logistics of getting on a ballot: signature requirements, candidacy qualifications, et cetera.
