Police responded to a collision on MacArthur Boulevard at 2:03 PM. Police said the driver of a red 2015 Ford F150 truck took the turnaround at Waterhouse Road and attempted to merge from the acceleration lane into the passing lane. The driver, identified as Lyle A. Russell, 72, from Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, cut in front of and collided with a red 2018 Kia Optima. There were no reported injuries, police said, and Mr. Russell was cited for an unsafe lane change.

At 2:45 AM, police made an arrest on Route 25. Police said an officer was monitoring traffic in the East Rotary and saw a gray 2006 Volkswagen Jetta with its license plate lights not lit. The car was stopped on Route 25, and the officer spotted various drug paraphernalia inside the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a prescription bottle in the center console that contained a white powdery substance. The driver was identified as Tyler C. Bassett, 26, from South Easton. Based on the officer’s observations and items found inside the car, police said, Mr. Bassett was arrested and charged with possession of a Class B drug, cocaine. He was later released on personal recognizance, police said.

Police made a warrant arrest at a residence on Cecilia Terrace in Sagamore at 6:29 AM. Police said that officers were aware of a warrant out of Falmouth District Court for Anthony J. Gonsalves, 24. The warrant charged Mr. Gonsalves with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor. He was arrested without incident and later taken directly Falmouth District Court for arraignment, police said.

Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Scenic Highway at 1:23 PM. Police said a white 2015 Chevrolet Silverado towing a boat had slowed for traffic. A red 2012 Toyota Sienna did not slow and rear-ended the Silverado, slamming into the boat’s motor, police said. There were no reported injuries from the crash, police said. The driver of the Toyota was identified as Paul Daeshik, 58, from Oak Hill, Virginia. Mr. Daeshik was cited for following too closely, police said.

An arrest was made on Trowbridge Road at 9:18 PM. Police said an officer was sent to the Capeview Convenience Store on reports of an erratic driver who had just pulled into the parking lot. The officer arrived and identified the vehicle, a gray 2006 Audi. When the officer approached to speak with the driver, a blue can was seen between the driver’s legs. The officer identified the can as an open container of Bud Light beer, police said. The driver, identified as Daniel A. Patterson, 48, from Wareham, failed a field sobriety test, police said. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, and possession of an open container of alcohol inside a motor vehicle. Mr. Patterson was later released on personal recognizance, police said.

A two-vehicle crash occurred at 1:24 PM at the intersection of the East Rotary and Bourne Bridge Approach. Police said the rider of a red 2015 Honda motorcycle was in the rotary. A blue 2011 Volkswagen Jetta entered the rotary from Scenic Highway and failed to yield to the motorcycle, police said. The motorcycle rider declined transport to the hospital, police said. The driver of the Jetta was identified as Leslie A. Giordano, 63, from Florence. Ms. Giordano was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way, police said.

Police made two arrests at 11:16 PM at the Courtyard Restaurant in Cataumet. Police said officers were doing a routine check of the establishment when an employee said two young men had used fake IDs, which staffers had confiscated. The officers saw the two men, identified as Mason R. Giunta, 19, from Medfield and Corey D. Strickler, 19, from Medfield, run off. The officers found Mr. Strickler hiding behind a nearby building and arrested him. Mr. Giunta was seen coming out of the woods and also caught. While speaking with the officers, Mr. Giunta became agitated and physically pushed back one officer. Police said he continued to resist being arrested, but was finally taken into custody. Both men were charged with false/misuse of a liquor ID car/license. Mr. Giunta was also charged with resisting arrest and assault and battery on a police officer. Both were later released on personal recognizance, police said.

At 3:06 PM, police were called to a two-car collision on Scenic Highway near the entrance to Bourne Scenic Park. Police said the driver of a black 2017 Tesla was in the left passing lane going in the direction of Sagamore Beach from Buzzards Bay. The driver, identified as Alexander E. Johnson, 79, from Plymouth, attempted to change lanes and collided his vehicle with a white 2011 Hyundai Sonata in the travel lane, police said. No one was hurt in the crash. Mr. Johnson was cited for an unsafe lane change, police said.

An arrest was made at the Otis Rotary at 1:41 AM. Police said the driver of a gray 2016 Honda C-RV drove on Connery Avenue toward the rotary, but on the one-way side of the road that leads to Joint Base Cape Cod. The driver was stopped and identified as Stephen M. Dench, 24, from Cumberland, Rhode Island. Police said the officer observed signs of intoxication and administered a field sobriety test which Mr. Dench failed. Mr. Dench was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, and wrong-way operation of a motor vehicle on a state highway. He was later released on personal recognizance, police said.

At 9:58 PM, an arrest was made on the southbound side of MacArthur Boulevard. Police said an officer on patrol saw a gray 2005 Toyota 4Runner with its rear license plates not lit. The vehicle was stopped by Waterhouse Road, police said, and a check of the driver’s identity done. The driver was identified as Ha Kim Huynh, 61, from East Falmouth. Police said that Mr. Huynh had a fugitive from justice warrant in his name out of San Mateo County in California. The warrant charged him with two counts of burglary, second degree, police said. Police said he was arrested and held without bail, pending extradition back to California.
