The following are excerpts from the Bourne Police Logs dated Wednesday, June 10, through Sunday, June 14.

Wednesday, June 10

A two-vehicle crash happened at 1:49 PM near the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and Waterhouse Road. The driver of a white 2004 Peterbilt truck rear-ended a gray 2019 Toyota Sienna on the southbound side of the highway. The Toyota had slowed to take a right turn when the truck struck the car from behind. The driver of the truck was identified as Robert Buchenan, 25, from Sandwich. Mr. Buchenan was cited for following too closely.

Thursday, June 11

At 5:52 PM, police responded to reports of a car being driven erratically in the area of the Circuit Avenue beach parking lot. The driver, a 40-year-old man from Milton, was in a white 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The vehicle was gone before an officer arrived but returned as the officer pulled into the lot. When the officer spoke with the driver, he first agreed to take a field sobriety test and then declined to take the test. The man’s father came and took custody of him. The suspect will be summonsed to Falmouth District Court for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.

Friday, June 12

At 4:14 PM, police were called to a two-car crash at the intersection of Head of the Bay Road and Plymouth Lane. The driver of a gray 2018 Toyota RAV 4 was turning left from Plymouth Lane onto Head of the Bay Road. The Toyota had the right of way but was hit by a gray 2006 Buick LaCrosse. The driver of the LaCrosse was identified as Cody Bancroft, 22, from West Wareham. Police cited Mr. Bancroft for speeding. Both he and the driver of RAV 4 were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

A two-car crash happened on MacArthur Boulevard at 4:55 PM. The crash occurred on the northbound side of the highway near the entrance to the Bourne landfill. The driver of a gray 2008 Volkswagen EOS was rear-ended by a white 2009 Honda Fit. Police identified the driver of the Volkswagen as Chase Kopcak, 20, from Sandwich. No one was hurt in the crash, but police cited Mr. Kopcak for following too closely.

Saturday, June 13

Police made an arrest on Main Street in Buzzards Bay at 5:44 AM. An officer on patrol saw a white 2009 Ford Crown Victoria approaching him at a high rate of speed. The officer clocked the car as going 40 in a posted 20-mile-per-hour zone. Police stopped the car and identified the driver as Deidra L. Smith, 41, from Wareham. Ms. Smith said she had no license with her but provided her information to the officer. The Registry of Motor Vehicle determined that Ms. Smith’s license was expired and nonrenewable. The registry also indicated that she had an active warrant out of Plymouth District Court for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police arrested her on the warrant and also charged her with speeding and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Sunday, June 14

At 2:14 PM, police were called to the Market Basket in South Sagamore on reports of a shoplifter. A 30-year-old woman from Mashpee had ordered some items from the store’s kitchen, ate the items while walking through the store and attempted to leave without paying for them. The items cost roughly $43. The woman will be summonsed to Falmouth District Court on a charge of shoplifting.
